## Privacy policy — QR Code Reader

The extension reads QR codes inside your browser. It has no server, no account, no analytics and no ads.

**What the extension can read:**
- The visible part of a page, as a screenshot, only after you click the extension icon, press its shortcut, or use its right-click menu item on that page.
- The image you right-click with "Read QR code in this image".
- The camera, only after you open the camera page and click **Scan with camera**. Preview frames are decoded in memory and discarded. The camera turns off when you close that page, cancel, or a code is read. Frames are not uploaded or saved.
- Screenshots and images are decoded in memory and discarded right away. The extension does not read page text, and does not keep a history of the pages you visit or the codes you scan.

**What is stored, only on your device:**
- the theme;
- for a moment only: the decoded texts, on pages where the extension shows them in a separate window, until that window opens. They are cleared when the browser closes.

**What is sent outside your browser:** nothing. A link from a QR code is opened only when you press **Open link**, like any link you click.

**What is never collected:** personal data, browsing history, analytics, advertising identifiers. Nothing is sold or shared with the extension's authors or anyone else.
